What is Sports Medicine?

Sports Medicine is the diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and prevention of athletic injuries and the effects on the human body. In addition, Sports Medicine is concerned with the evaluation and enhancement of athletic performance.  Dr. Longobardi’s vast experience as a team physician/consultant — working with the Florida Marlins, Metrostars, NY Islanders, US Tennis Association, various teams at the University of Tennessee and local athletes alike— puts him at the forefront of finding the newest techniques and innovative therapies needed for success.
